WEEKY WINNERS WRITE UP FROM HATTIESBURG SPEEDWAY 5-22-15

Michael Arnold did it again as he looks unstoppable this 2015 race season. The current Weekly  #CrateLate model points leader has had a tremendous last 2 seasons notching major wins in 4 of the 5 BIG END OF THE YEAR event closing races at the 4 major tracks in Mississippi this past 2014 season. Arnold has been able to carry that momentum into 2015 & is a threat every weekend at any given track in the region.

The blue & black #76 Allen Blaine Gray made a night to remember capturing his first ever feature win @hattiesburgspeedway.net this past weekend in the Modified division. Gray finished 1 & 2 with his father Howard Gray finishing runner up after a late blowout by then leader Robert Casada. Two races in a row in the Modified division have turned out first time winners with SCCI Construction #3 Chad Shivers capturing his first ever feature win at the last race held two weeks ago.

#69 Twisted Images Richie Stephens wrapped up another win inching him closer to the magic number in the NeSmith Street Stock National Points. Richie leads over Branden Harris & the always fast & very competitive Brooks Strength. Brooks has become a regular weekly competitor at HattiesburgSpeedway.net. He & Richie have races head to head all year giving the fans of Hattiesburg a great plus with the added show of sportsmanship in this highly competitive division of grassroots & grit racers. Though nothing new to Hattiesburg Speedway as it is no stranger to national points recognition or hot races after already being the home track of the recently crowned 2014 NeSmith Street Stock Champion Jeremy Idom. Michael Arnold of the #CrateLate division sanctioned by the same series is currently a full time competitor & resident of Hattiesburg. He is the current top points holder in the Weekly Crate Late Division. The competition is on a national points system through NeSmith & represents a wide variety of tracks in 2 racing divisions (Crate Lates & Street Stocks) throughout the Southeast region. Tracks all & local completion rolls weekly at tracks in this series from Georgia Florida Tennessee Mississippi Louisiana & including Kansas & Houston Tx.

Jeremy Eaton made it 2 in a row & 3 for the year in the #PureStreet Class @hattiesburgspeedway.net. He & Bubba Trotter are undefeated this year but several drivers have started catching up as this class grows smarter & stronger every week. Fast learners & well built machines have helped ignite the Pure Street Class & the new talent seems to improve each week even as competition gets tougher.

#31 Alan MCLEMORE took charge & never looked back as he rolled to another victory in the growing #OutlawStreet Class @HattiesburgSpeedway.net After a big wreck that involved all but 2 cars & a late Caution by Dallas Mozingo, who cashed a victory after a late & controversial pass on the #31 in the previous race, eventually finished runner up. The #31 Charles McLemore 1971 Nova reversed the final two positions from the previous finish 2weeks before & claimed victory in the class.
